Change Role of Group Participants sonet_group.user.update

Scope: sonet

Who can execute the method: administrator

The method sonet_group.user.update changes the role of participants in a workgroup or project.

To change the owner, use the method sonet_group.setowner

Method Parameters

Required parameters are marked with *

Name `type`	Description
GROUP_ID* `integer`	Identifier of the workgroup or project. The identifier can be obtained using the method sonet_group.get
USER_ID* `integer/array`	Identifier of the participant. The identifier can be obtained using the method sonet_group.user.get
ROLE* `string`	Code of the new participant role. Possible values: `E` — moderator `K` — participant

The user's role will not be updated if the user is the owner of the group or project.

Possible Error Codes

Code	Description	Value
—	`Wrong group ID`	An incorrect `GROUP_ID` was provided.
—	`No permissions to update users role`	Insufficient rights to change participant roles.
—	`Incorrect role code`	An unsupported value for `ROLE` was provided.
—	`Wrong user IDs`	An empty or incorrect `USER_ID` was provided.
—	`Socialnetwork group not found`	The group or project with the specified `GROUP_ID` was not found.

The errors described below may occur when calling any method.

`405`	`ERROR_BATCH_METHOD_NOT_ALLOWED` Method is not allowed for batch usage	The current method is not allowed to be called using batch
`400`	`ERROR_BATCH_LENGTH_EXCEEDED` Max batch length exceeded	The maximum length of parameters passed to the batch method has been exceeded
`401`	`NO_AUTH_FOUND` Wrong authorization data	Invalid access token or webhook code
`400`	`INVALID_REQUEST` Https required	The methods must be called using the HTTPS protocol
`503`	`OVERLOAD_LIMIT` REST API is blocked due to overload	The REST API is blocked due to overload. This is a manual individual block, to remove it you need to contact Bitrix24 technical support
